  16. Yup, I've got one of those and the problem sounds horribly familiar.
  17. I've had exactly the same problem connecting to my service provider!
  18. Current connection record 16min 42s! After the first connection the problem
  19. gets steadily worse until it won't connect, or drops the line immeadiately.

  21. I'm using the following init string: AT&F1&C1&D2 which seems to give longer
  22. conn. times. I also find that the connection lasts longer with text based 
  23. stuff such as E-mail etc. than withy internet www stuff (much higher transfer 
  24. rates). I think there must be a fault with the modem hardware - maybe it warms 
  25. up - I believe the US Robotics sportstar had/has similar problems.
